My boyfriend and I recently bought a house in Harford County, MD. We’re relatively new to the area and actually met Brad by accident. To make a long story short, we’d been looking for homes for almost a year, and after having had no luck with two other realtors, we decided to “go at it alone” and find homes ourselves (working only with the listing agent for any properties we were interested in). One of these homes we called to inquire about happened to be listed by one of Brad’s co-workers, who Brad was covering for at the time. The house ended up being under contract, but my boyfriend and I were extremely impressed with Brad’s professionalism and knowledge of the area, and decided to ask Brad to work with us on finding a home. Our experience with Brad couldn’t have been better. We were somewhat all over the place when looking for homes—having looked at everything from small townhomes to large single family homes. Brad was extremely patient and never pressured us into any property. If anything, knowing that we were first time home buyers, Brad encouraged us to shop “responsibly” and not get in over our heads. We developed a level of trust with Brad that neither of us would have expected in such a short time. Once we found the perfect home, Brad helped us negotiate a fantastic deal (purchase price was nearly 10% below list price and almost $20K below the appraised value). Brad walked us step by step through the closing process. For those that haven’t been through a closing, there is a LOT involved after the initial offer is accepted. Again, Brad couldn’t have been better. He broke the process down into several steps, explaining to us what to expect (and walking us through each step) along the way. Overall, Brad made what could have very easily have been an extremely stressful process (buying a first home), into something very enjoyable. We were very fortunate to have met Brad and would highly recommend him. My boyfriend and I will absolutely work with him again in the future.
